Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today launched a mobile app at the Secretariat for the selection of beneficiaries for the Indiramma houses housing scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the State government had adopted new technologies to ensure that there would be no errors in the implementation of the ambitious housing scheme.
"We are launching this app with the great intention of providing Indiramma houses to the deserving. As part of the endeavour, we have simplified the procedures and provided convenience to beneficiaries through the app," he said.
He also said that the beneficiaries would be provided with an opportunity to build a house according to how much they could afford, and that they would be allowed to construct additional rooms in the allotted Indiramma houses if they wished to.
"The first priority in the beneficiaries list will be given to the poorest of the poor. Later, priority will be given to dalits, tribals, agricultural labourers, sanitation workers, disabled people and transgenders. The government will also consider ITDA areas as special and release special funds for them," he said.
