Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today directed the officials to make the necessary arrangements to launch the Indiramma housing scheme on March 11.
Under the scheme, financial assistance will be provided to qualifying people who do not have a house of their own - those who have a house plot will be given Rs 5 lakh for the construction of a house, and the homeless poor will be given Rs 5 lakh along with a house site.
The CM held a review meeting with officials on the houses at the Secretariat today, and directed them to make the arrangements for the launch of the scheme.
Officials have been directed that the scheme should be applied to all the eligible people who were homeless, and that the guidelines should be framed immediately.
Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar were also present in the meeting.
