Ready For Elections, Dissolve Assembly: Congress To KCR
MLC Jeevan Reddy said his party was also ready to face mid-term elections, and asked the Telangana CM to dissolve the Assembly if he really stood by his words.
Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy today said that his party was also ready to face mid-term elections in the State, and asked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to dissolve the State Assembly if he really stood by his words and challenges yesterday.
He asked KCR to hold elections in the State along with the elections of Gujarat.
Reddy said that the Chief Minister, who was supposed to hold review meetings with officials of the State government over the situation of the floods in the State, was wasting time to criticise Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He also said that KCR was even more inefficient than Prime Minister Modi, and that the CM had grossly failed in forcing the union government to implement the promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act.
The Congress MLC said that the Chief Minister did not do anything when seven mandals of the State and the Sileru project were given to neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. He added that the CM had also failed in getting national project status to the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project even after increasing its cost from Rs. 38,000 crore to Rs. 1.2 lakh crore.
He said that the inefficiency of the CM had made Telangana the only State which did not have a crop insurance scheme.
For good measure, he also termed KCR as a traitor of the weaker sections of the State.
