TPCC president Revanth Reddy today said that he was contesting from the Kamaredddy Assembly constituency to protect its lands from the clutches of CM K Chandrashekar Rao.
"KCR is eyeing Kamareddy's lands. If KCR wins the constituency even by mistake, all the vacant lands will be lost. After that, nobody will be able to do anything," he claimed.
Addressing a road show in Kamareddy town, he said that although he wanted to visit all the villages of the constituency, he couldn't as he is holding the post of the TPCC president. "Please bless me nevertheless. I will meet everyone eventually. I will also solve your problems. KCR, who has been the CM for 10 years, and the local MLA here have both cheated you. KCR said that his government can't give double bedrooms to the poor, land pattas to the landless families or jobs to the unemployed - all those being reneging of explicit promises that he made. And now he is still asking you to vote for him," Reddy said.
He also said that KCR had never helped Gulf workers or beedi workers, and had only temporarily suspended the Kamareddy master plan to benefit in the Assembly elections, and would take away the lands of the people again after the elections. He said that trusting KCR was like pouring milk to a snake and raising it.
He ended by reiterating that he would implement the six guarantees of his party if it came into power.
