BJP floor leader in the Telangana Assembly T Raja Singh today demanded that the state government immediately ban the Telugu reality show Big Boss.
He alleged that a conspiracy was being executed to create a rift between the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana through the show.
Claiming that regional disparities were being highlighted by the makers of the show in the name of doing business, he alleged that the officials of the state government had permitted the show by taking bribes, and urged the Chief Minister and the Home Minister of the state to look into the show.
The show could also not be watched along with one's family members, he said.
Referring to the Hindi version of the show hosted by Bollywood star Salman Khan, he alleged that that show had hurt the religious feelings of the Hindus of the country.
Meanwhile, the supporters of anchor Ravi staged a protest at Annnapurna Studios in Jubilee Hills following the elimination of Ravi from the Telugu Big Boss.
They alleged that the process of elimination was not done properly this week in the show. Ravi was a strong contender for the Big Boss title, and injustice was done to him beause he hailed from Telangana, they claimed.
