Raja Singh Demands Ban On Padmavati In Telangana

Goshamahal BJP MLA Raja Singh on Tuesday took out a rally demanding a ban on the release of Bollywood film Padmavati in Telangana.

BJP MLA of the Goshamahal constituency, Raja Singh, on Tuesday demanded that the state government ban the screening of Bollywood film Padmavati in Telangana.

The MLA organized a rally from Begum Bazaar to the Hyderabad collectorate demanding a ban on the film's screening for distorting the history of the Rajput clan.

Speaking during the rally, Singh said that the sentiments of the Kshatriya community were hurt as the film was distorting the history of Rani Padmini, who was an icon of Kshatriya courage, culture and traditions.

The police obstructed the rally midway, and arrested Singh and his followers.
