Katasani, Shobha Anti-Party: PRP
The PRP has appealed to Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar to initiate action against party MLAs Katasani Rami Reddy and Shobha Nagi Reddy under the Anti-Defection Law.
Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) leaders on Wednesday appealed to Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar to initiate action against 2 MLAs - Katasani Rami Reddy and Shobha Nagi Reddy - from the Kurnool district, under the Anti-Defection Law, for indulging in anti-party activities.
The PRP leaders, including Upendra, Harirama Jogaiah and Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao, on Wednesday met Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar at his chambers, and discussed about the possible action against the above-mentioned MLAs for openly extending support to YSR Congress Party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
The cited PRP leaders said that they would submit a petition to the Deputy Speaker in this regard after getting their party President K Chiranjeevi's approval on Thursday.
Earlier, the leaders had convened a meeting with their party president K Chiranjeevi, and had discussed action against Rami Reddy and Shobha Nagi Reddy under the Anti-Defection Law.
In the meeting, they had stated that if Chiranjeevi remains quiet it would send wrong signals to the party leaders and cadres, besides exposing his own inefficiency in controlling the party leaders. (INN)
