YSRCP MLA R K Roja today welcomed the meeting between Telugu film actor Chiranjeevi and the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y S Jaganmohan Reddy over the controversial issue of the movie ticket rates in the state.
She termed it as a good development for the Telugu film industry.
The erstwhile actress said that justice would be done to the Telugu film industry if the artists of the industry made the correct arguments before the CM.
She made these remarks while addressing media persons in Shettipalem of Kadapa district.
She had gone to the district to celebrate the Sankranthi festival along with her relatives.
Speaking on the occasion, she alleged that the opposition political parties of the state were trying throw mud on the state government irrespective of the good works done by the CM, and that the protests against the controls on the prices of movie tickets was just the latest in a long sequence.
Referring to the decision of the CM to reduce the fees in private colleges of the state, she alleged that the opposition parties had then defamed the state government stating that the fees were reduced to harass the managements of the educational institutions.
She alleged that the opposition parties had then maligned the state government when it had controlled the private hospitals on the allegations that they were looting Covid patients.
The parties were now targeting the government over the issue of the prices of the movie tickets for gaining political mileage, she claimed.
She asked the parties to explain the problems of the people instead of just making provocative statements all the time.
