Chiranjeevi Slams Rajya Sabha Berth Reports

Telugu film actor Chiranjeevi today refuted the news reports that Andhra Pradesh CM Y S Jaganmohan Reddy would nominate him to the Rajya Sabha.

Telugu film actor Chiranjeevi today refuted the news reports that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy would nominate him to the Rajya Sabha.

He termed the reports as baseless rumours.

He made it clear that he was completely dissociated from politics, and did not have any interest in them.

"There is not even an iota of truth in the news reports that I will get a Rajya Sabha ticket. I am condemning the reports completely. I don't need any political post, and I am not expecting any such offers," he said.

The star made the statement after the Telugu film industry went abuzz with news reports that he would be sent to the upper house of the Parliament on behalf of the ruling YSRCP.
