Telugu film actor Chiranjeevi today called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and discussed the problems being faced by the Telugu film industry.
Speaking to media persons at the Gannavaram airport later, Chiranjeevi expressed his happiness over the meeting.
He said that the CM had treated him like a brother, and spoke to him in a cordial and gracious manner.
"I also had a feast with the CM. The wife of the CM Bharathi served the meal to me. I thank them from a bottom of my heart," he said.
Chiranjeevi said that he appreciated the concern of the CM to make sure that the ticket prices were in the reach of the common man. He said that he also explained the problems of the producers, exhibitors and theatre owners to the CM, and also spoke about the screening of a fifth show in the theatres.
He said that the CM heard him out patiently, and then responded positively and assured him of a consensual decision on the ticket prices very soon. Chiranjeevi expressed confidence that the industry would a get a consensual GO on the issue.
He also urged the Tollywood artistes not to speak irresponsibly on the issue, and said that he was making the request as a son of the industry and not as an elder.
