Prominent Industrialists Donate To Telangana's Covid-19 Fight
Several prominent industrialists announced large-scale donations to the CM's Relief Fund as their contributions to the government's efforts against the coronavirus.

Several prominent industrialists have hailed the attempts being made by the Telangana government to curtail spread of the coronavirus Covid-19 in the state, and announced large-scale donations to the CM's Relief Fund as their contributions to the government's efforts.
Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Company Limited (MEIL) announced a donation of Rs 5 crore to the CM's Relief Fund. MEIL MD P V Krishna Reddy handed over a cheque for Rs 5 crore to the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan.
Likewise, Shanta Biotech promoter and Padmabhushan awardee K E Prasada Reddy met Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan on Wednesday and, appreciating the measures being taken by the government, handed over his personal contribution of Rs 1 crore (and another 116) through a cheque to the CM for the CM's Relief Fund.
KNR Constructions owner Kamidi Narasimha Reddy too met the CM and handed over a cheque for Rs 1 crore.
Laurus Labs CEO Dr Satyanarayana and ED Chandrakanth Chereddy handed over a cheque for Rs 50 lakh, and announced that they would give one lakh hydroxychloroquine tablets.
The CM thanked all the donors for their contributions and for appreciating the measures being taken by the government to prevent spread of the virus. The contributions would support the programmes being taken up by the government and also inspire the official machinery, the CM said.
Heir apparent and minister K T Rama Rao met many philanthropic visitors donating to the CM's Relief Fund, too.
Hyderabad-based Meenakshi group came forward to give Rs 1 crore to the fund. Meenakshi group Chairman K S Rao and MD C Sivaji handed over a cheque for the amount to KTR at Pragathi Bhavan.
GPK Exports and Imports owners Phani Kumar and Karnala Sailaja Reddy donated 4,000 N95 Masks for the use of the Telangana government doctors, to the minister.
And the Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) donated Rs 1 crore to the fund. CREDAI representatives handed over the cheque to KTR.
