Probe Into Jagan's Assets: TDP
A delegation of TDP MPs demanded that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh order a probe into the alleged investment by Jaganmohan Reddy into Jagathi Publications.
A delegation of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs on Monday demanded that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh order a probe by the Enforcement Directorate into the alleged investment by former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy into Jagathi Publications.
Senior party leader Mysoora Reddy, who led the MPs' delegation, told mediapersons that the team has submitted a 5-page memorandum to the Prime Minister.
Mysoora Reddy alleged that Jaganmohan Reddy has amassed thousands of crores of rupees illegally and has invested heavily into Jagathi Publications.
He revealed that the TDP MPs, in their memorandum, have appealed to the Prime Minister to order investigations to reveal the investors in Jagathi Publications. The probe should also cover Jaganmohan Reddy's investments in other companies in the state, the delegation urged.
The TDP leader also revealed that the Prime Minister gave a patient hearing to the delegation and their appeal, and responded positively to the probe.
The senior leader pointed out that the TDP has been fighting for probes into Jaganmohan Reddy's illegal wealth for quite some time.
Mysoora Reddy stated that Jaganmohan Reddy's newly launched 'YSR Congress party', is no competition to the TDP.
Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao stated that the Prime Minister had earlier promised to order an I T department probe into the former MP's illegal assets.
