TDP MLC Denies Sending Rs 1,000 Crores Overseas

MLC S Chandramohan Reddy filed a defamation suit against YSRCP MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy for alleging that the former transacted Rs. 1,000 crores.

TDP MLC Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy today denied the charges laid by one of YSR Congress Party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's Party members that he transacted Rs. 1,000 crores to an offshore account.

Pointing out the corruption charges laid against Jaganmohan Reddy and his supporters in the past, the MLC alleged that MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy had created fake documents indicting him (the MLC) of transacting Rs. 1,000 crores to a foreign account.

The TDP MLC said he lodged a lawsuit with Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council chairman Chakrapani against Goverdhan Reddy for the "defamation".

Chandramohan Reddy said that he requested Chakrapani to forward the complaint to the Council Privileges Committee and ensure that nobody levelled such "baseless allegations" in future against any public representative.
