Pro-Telangana leaders were prevented by the Hyderabad Police from hoisting black flags, to mark the Andhra Pradesh Formation Day on Friday.
TPJAC chairman Prof M Kondadaram and other leaders, who gathered at the Gun Park near Telangana Martyrs' Memorial, were prevented by the police when they tried to hoist black flags to observe the "Telangana Betrayal Day".
Following objection by the police, they hoisted the TPJAC flag.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Kodandaram said that it would be the last AP Formation Day to be celebrated in the state.
"Soon there will be grand celebrations of the formation of the Telangana state," Prof. Kodandaram said.
He asked people to be cautious and active till the state of Telangana is formed with 10 districts, and Hyderabad as its capital. (INN)
