Customs officials at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad on Saturday seized banned party drug Ketamine from a passenger.
The market value of the drug is believed to be worth around Rs. 2 crore.
The consignment was detected in the luggage of a passenger travelling from Chennai to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). The passenger has been arrested, and is being interrogated.
Ketamine is a recreational drug, and is much sought-after at rave parties.
It has been put on the list of banned substances in many countries. Only health professionals, researchers in laboratories, or people with prescriptions are allowed to use it.
