The Hyderabad police today nabbed four heroin peddlers and seized 1 kg of heroin and four smartphones from them, all worth Rs 7 crore cumulatively.
Acting on a tip-off, the police with the help of the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau nabbed the four peddlers near Shilparamam under the Madhapur Police station limits.
The police said that Nemi Chand Bhati and Narpath Singh of Rathori Kuva of Nagaur district of Rajasthan used to get heroin and MDMA from one Santhosh Achary, who is the main drug peddler, currently lodged in Jodhpur jail, and sell the drug to customers and other peddlers. Bhati came to Hyderabad two months back to meet his brother-in-law Ajay Bhati and discussed selling heroin and MDMA to make huge money. Ajay Bhati and his friend Harish Sirvi agreed to be part of the operation. They planned to dispose the drugs in Madhapur for a good price.
As per their plan, Nemi Chand Bhati and Narpath Singh came to Hyderabad with 1 kg of heroin and met Ajay Bhati and Harish Sirvi. However, on credible information, the police apprehended them along with the heroin.
