Owaisi Expresses Shock Over Verdict On Babri Masjid

Hyderabad MP and the president of AIMIM Asaduddin Owaisi wondered if the historic mosque had fallen on its own if all the accused were innocent.
Hyderabad | 30th September 2020
Hyderabad MP and the president of AIMIM Asaduddin Owaisi today expressed his shock over the verdict of the CBI Special court in the Babri mosque demolition declaring veteran BJP leaders and key accused in the case like L K Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharathi as innocent.

He wondered if the historic mosque had fallen on its own if all the accused were innocent.

He said that the whole world had watched the people demolishing the mosque. He also said that one of the accused in the case Uma Bharathi had even raised slogans urging the kar sevaks to demolish the mosque.

He advised the CBI to appeal the verdict in the High Court.

The court's judge S K Yadav ruled in a 2000-page judgement that there was no evidence to support allegations of any conspiracy behind the demolition of the mosque, and declared the 32 accused in the case including the top BJP leaders innocent.

The verdict was delivered 28 years after the incident.

Of the accused 26 attended the court physically and the remaining through video conference.
