Nara Lokesh Appointed As TDP Working President
The organisational restructuring signifies a crucial turning point in the TDP's evolution, marking a new chapter for the party under Lokesh's leadership.
In a noteworthy political development within the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh, minister Nara Lokesh was today appointed as the national working president of the party.
The TDP also announced the formation of its politburo, along with national and State committees, and appointed senior leader Palla Srinivasa Rao as the president of the State unit.
Nandyal MP B Shabari has been named the party's first female national general secretary.
The party's high command assigned positions based on loyalty, dedication and experience, resulting in a politburo comprising 29 members, a national committee with 31 members and a State committee comprising 185 members.
The party has also appointed three leaders as national general secretaries, along with 18 as national vice presidents, and designated 10 leaders as national official spokespersons.
Lokesh, the son of party leader and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, is 43 years old and the grandson of TDP founder and former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao (NTR). He is also closely associated with several other prominent politicians within the ruling party.
