Minister Surekha, MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy Hold Flexi War

Sectarian differences have broken out in the undivided Warangal district Congress unit.

The flexi dispute between the supporters of the State Endowments Minister Konda Surekha and Parakala MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy has led to severe tensions.

In Dharmaram, Reddy's followers tore up the flexis of Surekha on the grounds that there was no picture of their leader in them. Angered at this, the supporters of Surekha too tore up the flexis of Reddy.

This led to an argument between the supporters of the two leaders. Surekha's supporters staged a massive protest condemning the act of the supporters of the MLA. They organized a rasta roko at Dharmaram on the Warangal-Narsampet main road and raised slogans against Reddy. They also alleged that Reddy was filing false cases against them and harassing them.

The protest led to a huge traffic jam in the area, and the police had to resort to mild force to break it up.
