BJP senior leader G Kishan Reddy on Tuesday alleged that the MIM was trying to create unrest in the Amberpet Assembly constituency in the name of a mosque.
He said that there was no mosque at any time in the disputed and controversial land as claimed by the MIM. He claimed that the compensation related to the land acquired by the GHMC had been given to the affected families during the rule of former the Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh N T Rama Rao.
He also claimed that of the 280 affected people, compensation was given to 170 people initially in a phased manner, and that Rs 2.5 crore in compensation was recently again given.
He alleged that the police were booking false cases against the youth of his constituency due to the politics of the MIM.
