Under the auspices of the Union Ministry of Culture, the Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations will be organised at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad, on September 17, 2024, to commemorate the liberation of the Hyderabad Samsthan from the clutches of the Nizam on September 17, 1948.
As part of the celebrations, para-military forces and defence forces will conduct a parade after the unfurling of the national flag. Union Minister of Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy will be the chief guest on the occasion. Cultural programs depicting the historic Hyderabad struggle are going to be part of the celebrations.
As a prelude to the celebrations scheduled for September 17, a rehearsal for the entire event is being organised on September 14 from 9 am at Parade Grounds. Dr K Laxman, Rajya Sabha member & national president of the BJP OBC Morcha, will be there for the rehearsal and take stock of the preparedness for the big event.
