Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah on Saturday informed that the Medical Council of India has restored 200 medical seats of Telangana colleges.
Speaking to media persons, Rajaiah thanked the Centre for restoring the medical seats, and also demanded that it approve 100 seats for RIMS at Nizamabad.
He also announced that the State government was planning to extend the Arogyasri scheme at the PHC level.
He added that 30-bed hospitals would be set up in all revenue divisions, and each hospital would have 4 doctors, and para-medical and nursing staff.
Rajaiah said that the government's focus was on prevention on seasonal diseases in the monsoons. (INN)
