Hyderabad | 22nd June 2025
Telangana IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu today announced that over the next three and a half years, Indiramma houses would be sanctioned to all eligible beneficiaries without any political bias or connection to party affiliations.

Addressing a review meeting for the erstwhile Karimnagar district, the minister said that applications would be thoroughly scrutinised at the grassroots level by Indiramma Committees to ensure transparency and prevent irregularities.

The minister took the opportunity to also touch up on various other issues.

He said that farmers were being encouraged to diversify crops beyond paddy and adopt more income-generating cultivations.

Speaking also about the importance of quality seeds, he said, "Strict action will be taken against those selling spurious seeds. Officials have been instructed to conduct extensive inspections at the field level."

The minister also said that the State government was giving top priority to education, healthcare and agriculture. He urged Collectors to play a proactive role on the ground in alignment with this vision.

He added that the government was committed to increasing student enrollment in government schools, and that positive changes were already visible at the field level. He appreciated the efforts of teachers and officials to enhance enrollment, and urged elected representatives to actively participate in the Badi Bata campaign.

"To enhance the teaching abilities of government school teachers, special trainings have already been initiated, and more training programs will be conducted in the coming days," Babu added.

Collectors were also instructed to hold review meetings with MLAs and elected representatives on student enrollment and the improvement of infrastructure in government schools.

The minister also directed the district Collector to visit the Jyothiba Phule Gurukulam in Karimnagar and submit a detailed report on the current conditions there.
