Man Murders Wife In Medchal, Dismembers Her Body

A gruesome incident took place in Medchal district, where a husband murdered his pregnant wife and dismembered her body.

The incident occurred in Balaji Hills, Medipalli, in Medchal-Malkajgiri district. The victim, Swathi (22), was from Kamareddyguda in Vikarabad district. She had fallen in love with the accused, Samala Mahender Reddy, from the same village, and later married him. The couple initially lived in Boduppal's Balaji Hills for ten months before moving away, only to return 25 days ago and settle in a rented house.

Swathi, who was pregnant, was allegedly attacked and murdered by Reddy following a domestic quarrel. Police said that he then dismembered her body, packed the parts, and disposed of them in different locations.

A relative of Reddy reportedly witnessed the gruesome act and alerted the police, who immediately took the accused into custody.

According to investigators, Reddy severed Swathi's head, arms and legs, and dumped them in the Musi river area near Pratapasingaram. So far, police have recovered only the torso.

Swathi's mother accused Reddy of deceiving her daughter. "My daughter fell under Mahender's spell and left home. We tried to stop her because we did not want a love marriage, but she went ahead against our wishes. He had been torturing her for the past few days," she claimed.

The crime has shocked the State, and police are currently interrogating the accused.

Investigators reconstructed the crime scene and are tracing the locations where the accused allegedly dumped the victim's body parts.
