BRS working president K T Rama Rao today said that Lord Rama belonged to all Hindus, and was not a BJP MLA or MP.
He participated in a meeting of the BRS booth committee members of the Vemulawada constituency in Rajanna Siricilla district.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that only the pink scarf had the power to prevent injustice from happening to Telangana and Hyderabad. Referring to PM Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, he said that while "Big Brother" Modi cheated the State in 2014, the younger brother cheated it in 2024.
"Modi is the person who insulted the birth of Telangana. He cheated the people of the State for 10 years. I challenge Sanjay to a discussion on what the BJP and he have done for Karimnagar district," KTR said.
"In Karimnagar, it is a contest between the BJP and the BRS. The Congress is not even in the fray. The Congress parliamentary candidate is an unknown. Even the party workers will not recognize him even if he is made to stand at the Tippapur bus stand. Revanth Reddy and Bandi Sanjay have fielded a dummy candidate for Karimnagar in a match-fixing deal," he added.
Criticising the Congress further, he said that the promised bonus of Rs 500 per quintal for paddy crop had become "bogus", the six promises had still not been implemented, and that the free bus and free electricity schemes would also disappear after the Lok Sabha elections.
"If the BRS gets even 12 MP seats, we will rule the state's politics again within a year," he said in an attempt to motivate the party cadre.
