BRS social media convener Manne Krishank strongly condemned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's comments that its leader K Chandrashekar Rao had worked hard for the victory of rival BJP candidates in Telangana in the just concluded Lok Sabha elections.
Krishank asked Reddy how the BRS would have gotten lakhs of votes if it joined hands with the BJP in the elections.
Krishank advised Reddy to stop spreading false news and focus on the governance of the State.
"In Mahabubabad, the BRS polled 2.61 lakh votes while the BJP got 1.08 lakh votes. Have you joined hands with the BJP there? In Warangal, the Congress candidate defeated the BJP by a margin of over 2.20 lakh votes. In this constituency, the BRS got 2.32 lakh votes. If we joined hands with the BJP, how did the Congress win? In the Bhuvanagiri constituency, the Congress candidate defeated the BJP by a margin of over 2.20 lakh votes. The BRS got 2.54 lakh votes in this constituency. If we had joined hands with the BJP, how could the Congress win? In the Nagarkurnool constituency, the Congress defeated the BJP by a margin of just 94,000 votes. The BRS got 3.19 lakh votes, just 40,000 votes less than the BJP. If we had not given a tough fight in Nagarkurnool, wouldn't the Congress candidate have lost?" Krishank asked Reddy.
He said that the regional parties in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh had shown their power in the country. "The regional parties have proved how much they are needed in their respective States. We will fight till the guarantees of Modi and Rahul Gandhi reach the people. There is no question of bowing down to the faults of the Congress and the BJP. We will fight on behalf of the people," Krishank said.
