The Telangana Election Commission has announced the schedule for the upcoming by-election to the Jubilee Hills Assembly seat in Telangana.
The polling will be held on November 11, and the counting of votes will take place on November 14.
Candidates can file their nominations from October 13, and October 21 is the last date for submission of nominations. The final date for withdrawal of nominations is October 24.
With the announcement of the by-election, the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect in the area.
The Jubilee Hills constituency has a total of 3,92,669 registered voters. The by-election was necessitated by the demise of incumbent BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath on June 8 this year. The BRS has fielded Maganti Sunitha, Gopinath's widow, as its candidate for the by-election. The Congress and BJP are yet to declare their candidates.
