Chandrababu Naidu Condemns P Narayana's Arrest

Hyderabad | 10th May 2022
TDP president and former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today condemned the arrest of his former cabinet colleague and the party leader Dr P Narayana.

The TDP leader and founder of the Narayana Group of Educational Institutions was arrested by the AP police from his residence at Lodha Apartments in KPHB Colony today in connection with the Class X question paper leakage case.

Naidu alleged that the ruling YSRCP government had arrested the former minister in order to hide its own failure to conduct the Class X examination in a fool-proof manner.

"The State government faced a lot of criticism from all sections of society for its failure to hold the Class X examinations in a proper manner. It is now trying to show Narayana as the prime accused in order to hide its own failures," Naidu alleged.

Referring to the comments made by State minister Botsa Satyanarayana that there was no leakage of the Class X question paper, Naidu asked how Narayana could then be held responsible for something that did not even happen.

Naidu claimed that the police was not able to show proper evidence for the arrest of Narayana. He also asked the State government if it was not revenge politics to arrest the former minister without even serving any notice on him.
