Gobsmacked by the intensity of the
anti-Kiran Kumar Reddy tirade that surfaced when All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad visited the city on May 16th, the Chief Minister is apparently extending a reconciliatory hand to his party members.
According to sources, the CM has tentatively scheduled a meeting with the Congress MLAs and MLCs on May 23rd, and will also reportedly meet the MPs on a later, as yet unfixed, date.
The reports that Kiran Kumar Reddy had pointed out 2 cabinet members as being wolves in sheep's clothings, allegedly passing on internal information to the Congress' major opponent Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, may lubricate the reconciliatory process with those leaders who accused the CM of not recognising loyal members.
Kiran is also understood to have complained against the kin of those sailing with Jagan's YSR Congress Party, accusing them of supporting the party nemesis. He reportedly requested the Congress In-Charge of AP Affairs to either reprimand the ministers or drop them from the cabinet.
Ghulam Nabi Azad was reportedly aghast with the intensity of the anti-KKR emotions within the party, especially as, according to sources, not a single minister spoke in favour of the CM. Azad had advised KKR to keep the ministers in the loop while taking any important decisions, and improve the interpersonal relationship with his fellow party members.
