Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today directed ministers and officials of his government to examine the feasibility of making Kalwakurthy (Mahbubnagar) a revenue division, as the demand for the same is growing among the public.
KCR discussed the issue with ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and C Lakshma Reddy, and State Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Niranjan Reddy and Collector Sridevi, and took stock of the situation.
Earlier he had excluded the possibility of granting Kalwakurthy revenue division status.
But as the Telangana public has made strong demands to overturn the decision, KCR sought to know if anything could be done to make the region a successful revenue division.
He directed his officials to submit a report immediately on the same, and expressed hope that a solution beneficial to both the public and the State would be arrived at soon.
