The Telangana BJP alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had never made any serious representation to the Centre about the issues concerning the State.
Speaking to media persons after the inauguration of the BJP Legislature Party office in the Telangana Assembly premises on Sunday, floor leader Dr K Lakshman said that the Chief Minister was wrongly blaming the Centre for his failure to resolve the problems being faced by the people of Telangana.
He said that the TRS Government had not made any representation to the Centre on the State's major problems. However, in order to hide his failures, KCR was targeting the BJP-led NDA Government.
Lakshman alleged that KCR was afraid of facing the Opposition Parties in the Assembly, and for that reason delayed the convening of the budget session.
He said that the BJP would raise the issues of farmers' suicides, power crisis, unemployment, fee reimbursement, scholarship and others matters of public importance.
He said that the BJP would try to get specific assurances from the State Government on these issues.
BJP National General Secretary Muralidhar Rao, Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatreyya, State Unit President G Kishan Reddy and other senior leaders were also present on the occasion. (INN)
