The Telangana unit of the BJP today released its BC Declaration.
The party's OBC Morcha national president Dr K Laxman released declaration in the presence of State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar and other party leaders.
Announcing the promises made in the declaration, Laxman said that the BJP would allocate budget for the BCs on the basis of their population after wresting power, give constitutional status to the BC Commission in the State, and give a big push to BC leaders in filling up nominated posts.
The party would also give priority to the BC castes not able to win elections when making appointments, he said.
He also added that BC students studying abroad would be given financial assistance.
Laxman said that a public meeting titled BC Garjana would be held in Hyderabad in June with lakhs of people.
Laxman termed the Congress and BRS as anti-BC parties, and that the two parties opposed BC reservations.
Former MP Boora Narsaiah Goud and a large number of BC people's representatives and leaders were present at the meeting.
