1 Held For Uploading Porn On Mobiles

The Hyderabad City Police on Saturday arrested a person on charges of uploading pornographic clippings into mobile phones.

According to police, the accused, 29-year-old Mohd Hafeez, used to upload porn clips into the mobile phones of known customers from his shop 'Young Seasons Gifts', located at Karkhana in Secunderabad.

Hafeez, an SSC pass-out, worked as a salesman in Abids for about 2 years. In 2008, he joined as an assistant in Young Season Gifts, and was in charge of the shop after its shop owner went abroad.

Thanks to huge competition, he started incurring losses, and started facing financial problems.

He then started downloading porn clippings from the Internet, uploading them onto the mobile phones of his customers.

Hafeez charged Rs. 100 to Rs. 150 per clipping.

On a tip-off, North Zone Task Force team, led by inspector L Raja Venkat Reddy, foiled this business through a decoy operation.

The police also seized one CPU, a monitor, an external hard disk, a card reader and a memory card from his possession.

The accused, along with the seized property, were later handed over to the Karkhana Police Station for further investigation.

The city police have advised parents to check the mobile phones of their children, particularly teenagers, to prevent such crimes. (INN)
