Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA K Tarakarama Rao expressed confidence that Hyderabad would emerge as the Information Technology capital of India after the formation of a separate Telangana state.
Addressing a meeting organised by the IT Association, at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram on Sunday, KTR said, "All efforts would be made to develop Hyderabad as the country's preferred IT hub. Other towns of the Telangana state would also be developed as IT hubs". He added that the Centre should make efforts to develop new IT hubs in the country.
KTR ridiculed the claim of the TDP chief, N Chandrababu Naidu, that he had developed Hyderabad as an IT destination. He said, "While the TDP government gave 2 acres of land for IT development, it gave 15 acres to set up farmhouses". He advised Naidu to refrain from making false claims.
The TRS leader also described ministers and leaders of Seemandhra as opportunists. He challenged them to an open debate on the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He asked, "If the police constables on duty were being punished for raising the slogan of Jai Telangana (during the APNGOs rally), then how can N Kiran Kumar Reddy raise the Jai Samaikhyandhra slogan while holding the post of a Chief Minister?"
KTR said, "The Congress party cannot be believed until it passes the Telangana Bill in Parliament". (INN)
