Centre Planning To Make Hyderabad Union Territory: KTR
If that happened, Hyderabad's development would stop, and there would be no freedom to make even small improvements, the BRS leader warned.

BRS party working president K T Rama Rao today exhorted the people to fight against the step-motherly treatment given to Telangana by the Centre.
Addressing a youth meeting at Old Alwal in the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency, he said that neither the BJP nor the Congress leaders could bring any development project to the State as they were slaves of Delhi. Congress and BJP MPs would do only what Rahul Gandhi and Modi would tell them, and KCR's soldiers needed to be in Parliament to fight with the Centre for the interests of the State, he said.
"The Congress is asking why the people should vote for the BRS. When KCR formed the TRS in 2001, they posed the same question. But in 2004, five MPs won. KCR went to Delhi and convinced 272 MPs from 32 parties to achieve Telangana in 2014," he said.
He added that if the BRS won a majority of seats of the State in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, four projects would come to the State. On the contrary, as long as the Congress was there, there would be no electricity, he said.
KTR also claimed that after June 2, the Union government was planning to make Hyderabad a Union Territory and keep it under its control.
"If it becomes a Union territory, Hyderabad's development will stop. There will be no freedom to make even small improvements. We will need to go to Delhi and ask if we want to build or lay even a road. The pink flag should fly in Parliament to block the Union territory proposal," KTR said, and urged the people to vote for their party candidate Ragidi Lakshmareddy in the upcoming elections.
