Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu today said that BRS working president K T Rama Rao should rely on facts rather than making baseless accusations against the State government.
Speaking to the media at the Uppal Ward Office, Babu said, "KTR having served as a minister for ten years should uphold dignity in public discourse. If he fails to do so, he himself will lose credibility. He should also know that the State's financial downfall is a direct consequence of his administration."
"KTR's allegations against the State government regarding TDR (Transfer of Development Rights) are completely unfounded. Did the BRS leaders conveniently forget that it was during their tenure that the irregularities occurred?" the minister asked.
Babu also criticized the previous administration for pushing the GHMC into "financial ruin" without allocating even a single rupee in funding.
However, despite the constant criticism against the government, the minister said that it was fully prepared for a constructive Assembly session, and urged opposition leaders to participate and offer their insights for the State's development.
"We are open to collaborating with anyone who genuinely contributes to the State's progress. Our approach is transparent and unbiased," he said.
He also said that the State government was balancing development and welfare while actively working to restore the economy, which was pushed into a crisis.
"We are committed to developing Hyderabad to meet future demands, including the expansion of the Metro network. An IT corridor will also be developed between Uppal and Ghatkesar, enhancing economic opportunities in the region. The Musi river rejuvenation project will also be carried out responsibly, ensuring no harm or displacement to any underprivileged communities. A proactive action plan has also been devised to prevent drinking water shortages in Hyderabad during the summer. And to curb pollution and prevent a Delhi-like crisis, RTC buses will be gradually replaced with electric buses in a phased manner," he said.
Babu also said that the Uppal-Narapally flyover would be completed at the earliest, overcoming technical challenges, and that a Skill Development Centre would be established in Uppal to empower the local youth.
