The annual procession held in the Old City of Hyderabad as part of Moharram celebrations was held today, despite the coronavirus.
The procession began from the famous Bibi Ka Alam area.
The city police made elaborate arrangements to avoid any untoward incidents. They also did not allow the participation of elephants in the procession, in accordance with the Covid-19 guidelines.
They however allowed the participants to carry the alams on a DCM.
The procession will cover areas like Yaqutpura, Charminar, Gulzar Hous, Mir Alam Mandi and Dar ul Shifa, and conclude at Chaderghat.
