Eid-ul-Fitr Celebrated With Fervour And Gaiety
Lakhs of devout Muslims, irrespective of their ages, thronged the idgahs, mosques and open spaces in Hyderabad and participated in the special prayers.

Eid-ul-Fitr (the end of the month of Ramzan) was celebrated in both the Telugu States with religious fervour and gaiety on Wednesday.
Lakhs of devout Muslims, irrespective of their ages, thronged the idgahs, mosques and open spaces in huge numbers and participated in the special prayers.
The main congregation was held at the Mir Alam idgah where a large number of Muslims participated in the special prayers. Over two lakh Muslims offered prayers at the idgah. After the prayers they hugged each other and exchanged "eid mubarak" greetings.
Huge gatherings were also seen at Charminar, Mecca Masjid, Jama Masjid and the Balamrai idgah in Secunderabad in the city. Hundreds to thousands of Muslims congregating in their white new clothes presented qite a spectacle.
The police deployed huge forces in the Old City of Hyderabad keeping in view the ISIS threat and the arrests of ISIS sympathizers. The police also diverted the traffic in the Old City for the festival.
At Adilabad, Bhainsa, Nizamabad, Mahbubnagar and other towns in Telangana too Muslims started their Eid celebrations during the early hours participating in special prayers. The imams and others who addressed the gatherings exhorted the Muslims to continue good deeds even after Ramzan so that they could succeed in life.
