Taking a serious note of the ongoing strike by junior doctors, the High Court on Monday directed the Junior Doctors Association (JUDA) to call off the strike and report to work immediately.
The High Court warned the junior doctors of stern action if they continued the strike. It advised them to approach it if the government failed to meet their demands.
The court observed that the doctors were part of a noble profession, and therefore should restrain from undertaking strikes.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had directed officials to debar the junior doctors for a period of six months if they failed to join duties by Tuesday.
He directed the officials to serve notices asking the striking junior doctors to call off their stir immediately. (INN)
