The Telangana High Court on Tuesday allowed the TSRTC employees' unions' JAC to hold their proposed public meeting, named "Sakala Janula Samara Bheri", at the Saroornagar Stadium on Wednesday as part of their ongoing indefinite strike.
The High Court issued the order after a petition was filed by the TRC employees' union' leaders urging it to grant permission to hold the public meeting.
In its order, the court asked the union leaders to hold the meeting from 2 pm to 5 pm.
The RTC employees' unions leaders had approached the High Court following denial of permission by the local police for the meeting.
In the petition, the TSRTC unions leaders urged the court to allow them to hold the meeting from 2 pm to 6 pm. However, the court reduced the time by one hour and asked the union leaders to conclude their meeting by 5 pm.
