Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today held talks with key officials on the Chalo Tank Bund / Million March attempted by the striking TSRTC employees on the 36th day of their strike, at Pragathi Bhavan.
The Chief Minister is said to have discussed the latest status of the strike with Transport Minister P Ajay Kumar, in-charge TSRTC MD Sunil Sharma and other top officials. He is reported to have taken note of the Chalo Tank Bund protest turning violent with lathi-charges by the police.
KCR is also said to have shared his views on the Centre denying recognition to TSRTC, the High Court staying the privatization of the TSRTC routes until Monday, and the support of the Opposition parties to the strike.
The Chief Minister reportedly also talked about the High Court's directions to hold talks with the TSRTC employee unions and end the strike.
The officials are said to have informed the CM that they had bifurcated APSRTC as per Schedule 9 and Section 3 of the 1950 Act. Though the Centre was not ready to recognize it, the TSRTC existed as per the State norms, and would not face any problem, the officials reportedly informed the CM.
The meeting gains prominence as the High Court has turned serious about the government officials submitting wrong reports, and has been insisting on quick talks to end the impasse. The court has posted the case to Monday for a final hearing.
