IMD officials predicted heavy rainfall across the State today, on Monday and on Tuesday.
The monsoon has intensified across Telangana, bringing widespread rainfall after a brief lull.
The rains, which had been missing for a while after the monsoon's onset, have now returned, lashing many parts of the State.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that the rainfall observed over the past two to three days is expected to continue for another four days.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is likely in the districts of Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Hanamkonda, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Mahbubnagar and Nagarkurnool.
An orange alert has been issued for Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Karimnagar, Hanamkonda, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Kamareddy, Medak and Nagarkurnool districts, indicating the likelihood of heavy to very heavy rainfall on Monday.
A yellow alert been issued for Nirmal, Jagtial, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Siddipet, Jangaon, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam districts due to the possibility of moderate rains.
Light to moderate rainfall is also expected in the State capital Hyderabad.
The IMD also warned of thunderstorms and lightning across all districts. Farmers and fishermen have been advised to return home before the rains begin.
