Minister T Harish Rao today promised to adopt the Malkajgiri Assembly constituency if the BRS returned to power in the upcoming Telangana elections.
Addressing a party meeting at Malkajgiri, Rao vowed to personally ensure the development of the constituency, and appealed to the people to vote for the BRS candidate Marri Rajasekhar Reddy, who he claimed was an educated person who could develop the constituency into a role model if he was elected as its MLA.
Rao said that there was a fight between virtue and rowdyism in the constituency, and that the money power of Congress MLA candidate Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao, who was earlier in the BRS and defected to the Congress in October, should be melted through votes.
He also lambasted Mynampalli for levelling derogatory remarks against the BRS government, and said that he (Harish Rao) couldn't stoop to making the kind of cheap remarks that Mynampalli did.
