The BRS said it would not be possible to deliver on the promises mentioned in the manifesto, and that the Congress was just trying to come to power by cheating the people.

Minister T Harish Rao today termed the Congress' manifesto for Telangana, released by AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge today, as a "420" manifesto.
Rao said that it was not a 42-page manifesto, but a 420 manifesto.
Addressing a party meeting at Gajwel in Siddipet district, Rao claimed that it would not be possible to deliver on the promises mentioned in the manifesto, and that the Congress was just trying to come to power by cheating the people.
"The Congress has no credibility. It has failed to implement its promises in Karnataka, and the people of Karnataka are regretting electing it to power. There is a serious power crisis in that State, and the farmers there are not getting more than three hours of power," he claimed.
Earlier, addressing a media conference at Telangana Bhavan, Rao accused the Congress of causing the deaths of hundreds of Telangana youth in the statehood struggle.
He was referring to the statement of former union minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram, who expressed regret for the deaths of protestors during the Telangana statehood movement, and said that Chidambaram had proved to be no less than General Dyer, the man responsible for the infamous Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
"The then Congress-led union government announced the start of the process of forming a separate Telangana State on December 9, 2009, but it did not materialise till June 2014. The delay in granting statehood cost several lives, and Chidambaram is now seeking to absolve himself of the responsibility by merely extending an apology. It is similar to the awkward American gesture of tendering an apology to Japan after the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki for killing thousands," Rao said.
