As part of Telangana's 10th anniversary celebrations, the fisheries department has decided to organise a 3-day fish food festival from June 8 across the State.
The festival will be organised at all the district headquarters in the State. Over 20 to 30 varieties of fish dishes will be displayed, and stalls of Vijaya's dairy products will also be set up.
Minister for Fisheries Talasani Srinivas Yadav held a review meeting with the officials concerned at the Secretariat today and reviewed the arrangements for the fish medicine to be administered by the Bathini family on the first day of Mrigasira Karthi which falls on June 8, and the fish food festival.
During the meeting, the minister said that CM K Chandrashekar Rao had asked for the fish food festival to be organized on a grand scale, and for the ministers and MLAs associated with the various districts to all be invited for the festival.
Officials were also instructed to make elaborate arrangements, including the conduct of cultural programs and other events, to make the festival a grand success.
