Hyderabad | 26th July 2015
Elated by the huge response from the people, Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy today claimed that the TRS government had conducted the Godavari Maha Pushkaralu with grandeur rivaling that of the Kumbh Mela.

Talking to the media on Sunday, Reddy said that the official machinery had succeeded in its efforts to conduct the colossal event in a smooth manner.

The Maha Pushkaralu culminated on Saturday without any untoward incident except the traffic jams due to the heavy influx of people and vehicles, he said.

The Home Minister added that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had time and again called up the police and other top officials of various departments to ensure coordination in the arrangements being made.

Reddy patted the police department for rendering highly efficient services in the pushkar activities and for being vigilant 24 hours a day, and also appreciated the other departments for discharging their duties well, which resulted in a smooth and peaceful completion of the event.
