K Kavitha Resigns From MLC Post And BRS Membership

Just a day after her suspension from the BRS, MLC K Kavitha today addressed the media from her residence, and announced her resignation from both her BRS membership and her MLC post.

She once again levelled serious allegations against BRS leaders Harish Rao and Santosh Kumar, and accused them of conspiring to weaken the party. She also accused other party leaders of prioritising personal gain and financial interests over the party's future.

Kavitha claimed that several BRS members were spreading false information about her, with Harish Rao and Santosh Rao being the main instigators.

She alleged that the conspiracy began after Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Harish Rao travelled together on the same flight.

"Harish Rao once ran a milk business and was accused of supplying milk to hostels after the BRS came to power. Revanth Reddy alleged a scam worth lakhs of crores, but after the Congress formed the government, he reportedly struck a deal with Rao to drop the issue and instead target KCR," she said.

Kavitha claimed that Harish Rao was never loyal to KCR, and compared the former to the character Kattappa in the Bahubali movies, and called him a source of trouble rather than a problem-solver.

"Many leaders, including Vijayashanti, Mynampally Hanumantha Rao and Etala Rajender, have left the party. Harish Rao played a key role in Etala's bypoll victory. KTR must recognise these conspiracies. I have no expectations of any posts after distancing myself, but KTR should take note of Harish Rao's hollow successes. While blame for the party's failures is being pinned on Ramanna, Harish Rao is funding rivals to undercut KTR," Kavitha alleged.

"The conspirators want to weaken our family, because their rise depends on our downfall. I was the first to be pushed out. This won't stop here. I urge KCR to take note - the same threat may extend to KTR and even you. My removal is only the beginning of an attempt to capture the party," she said.

Kavitha also said that she would not join either the Congress or the BJP, and that she would decide her future course of action only after consulting the people.
