In the recent hate-fest that has been swamping Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on the
dismissal of D L Ravindra Reddy, the CM can rest a little bit easier, knowing that he has a supporter in chief whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy.
The chief whip told reporters that it was not fair on the part of D L Ravindra Reddy to openly criticize the Chief Minister's decisions on government schemes.
"He should have discussed it at an appropriate forum instead of rushing to the press. I believe that the Chief Minister has sacked him only for this indiscretion," he said.
Earlier, P Sudhakar Reddy had told reporters at Delhi that it is the prerogative of the Chief Minister to select his Cabinet, and that the CM can drop or induct anyone he wants to. (INN)
