Former APCC president Botsa Satyanarayana, who is all set to join the YSR Congress Party soon, today accused former chief minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy of cheating the Congress party.
Botsa, who is camping in Vijayawada and is busy talking with Kapu leaders supporting him to join the YSRCP, alleged that the then chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy dumped the Congress in the last minute of the looming bifurcation of the state.
The Congress did not commit any mistake by bifurcating the state, Botsa said, and alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy had cheated the party and its leaders.
He attributed the defeat of the party to the tactics of Kiran, who failed to inform his colleagues of the impending division and ramifications.
Despite being in the Congress for one year after the bifurcation, he had found no way to strengthen it, Botsa said.
Meanwhile, the efforts of APCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy and party MP K V P Ramachandra Rao to contact Botsa proved futile.
Botsa confirmed that he will be joining the YSRCP soon. This will possibly be during YSRCP Chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's Deeksha at Vijayawada, most likely in the first week of June. (NSS)
