Telangana Social Welfare Minister Gangula Kamalakar today flagged off four ambulances in Karimnagar, under TRS working president K T Rama Rao's Gift A Smile program.
The ambulances are reportedly equipped with oxygen cylinders, ventilators and other modern facilities.
Speaking at the launch, Kamalakar said that the ambulances, which had been donated to the district, would be used to service the patients of Karimnagar's government hospitals.
"The ambulances were donated by the son of an industrialist Kesarmal, in memory of the industrialist and his brother Prabhakar. We hope that the ambulances improve the emergency services provided by the government hospitals in the district," he said.
Claiming that the state government was committed to improving the health infrastructure of the state, he added that this was one of the many steps to achieve the same.
